Patty West was born in fort Scott Kansas and attended local Fort Scott Schools. She worked for the Western Insurance Company for 2-1/2 years before coming to work for Ron Dodson at Atkins Insurance Agency. She and Ann Stark purchased Atkins Insurance Agency together in 1993. Patty is married to Terry with whom she has two daughters, Chrystal Cowan and Kayla Collins. Thanks to their daughters, two sons, Josh Cowan and JD Collins have joined the family. The also have three granddaughters, Raylee, Jace, and Cheyann. Patty and her family live on a family farm where they run a cattle operation. She is a member of Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Fort Scott Chamber of Commerce and Kansas Association of Independent Agents.
